Positive Rewards

I was looking for a creative way to encourage my son to work hard on his sight words. It had become quiet the challenge to keep my kindergartener engaged and I was desperate to keep it from becoming a battle. Finally I had the idea of using a reward system after he had been beggint o watch the new Lego movie on Cartoon Network. I logged onto tvbydirect.comand set up my DVR to record the upcoming movie. This was just the spark I needed to get him all interested in studying hard. We spent the next several days going over the words one by one. He was knocking them out faster than I had hoped for! We made a big deal about movie night and he seemed to enjoy it even more since he had earned it. Now I am quizzing him on the next big thing he just cannot miss out on so I can use it to my advantage and keep him studying like a pro. At this rate, he’ll be reading Shakespeare at age six!
